Two months in, food is getting scarce and Jimmy didn't make it. The only good thing going for us on this lonely island is our volleyball Neilson, our makeshift net and the friends we still have with us. These times have really shown who we are on the inside. We played for what started out as days, then weeks, which then turned into months. It was some of the best of times and some of the worst of times. Then terror struck, a pack of ravenous chimpanzees came and ran off with Neilson. We had one choice...rescue our friend. We gathered the largest of sticks and sharpened them into spears and headed off. Four days we searched the forest, luck was not on our side. Desperation weighed down on the group as we started to run out of food and energy. As we debated to head back to camp, we stumbled upon a baby chimpanzee. We knew what we had to do. We made a makeshift baby carrier, gave him the name Simpson and lugged him around day and night as he pointed the way back to his home. Upon arrival there sat Neilson, unharmed, next to the leader of the chimps. We negotiated terms to trade Neilson for baby Simpson. The trades were successful and we headed home. On our way back to camp our main objective was to keep Neilson safe at all costs. Through thick and thin we made it. With full hearts and semi full stomachs we went to play some volleyball and disaster struck again. As we were setting up the net, one of our surfboards hit a palm tree that knocked down a coconut and popped Neilson :( Our only option left was our late good friend Jimmy. So, when life pops your volleyball, make most of what you have even if it's desecrating a good friend's grave :)
